To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Dr. XXXX XXXX. I have been operating the XXXX Dental Clinic in XXXX, Ontario, Canada, along with my colleagues, assistants, and staff for the past two decades. As the clinic’s founder and chief DDS, I enjoy working alongside a great team. I have known Dr. XXXX XXXX for more than one year, since January 2019, as he has been serving in our clinic as a volunteer and now as a Dental Assistant, proving himself most useful in various areas. Every time I spend time with XXXX, I am impressed with his solid grasp of multiple procedures and our daily issues and challenges. I could not feel more confident recommending XXXX for a position in an Advanced Placement program for international dentists. I feel strongly that he deserves one: given his vast capacity and talent in our profession and his potential to contribute to our community.
When I opened my XXXX dental clinic more than 20 years ago, my goal was to have an inclusive practice with the appropriate services available for anyone who walked through the clinic’s doors on XXXX Street – even those who were unable to pay to the extent to which this would be possible. Thus, we developed a versatile clinic that was responsive to community demand and let it be known that we did our best to help everyone, structured around the needs of those in our immediate neighborhood. We have an enormous diversity of patients who come to us, and XXXX fits in perfectly, responding in an exemplary fashion to this need: attending to people originally from all over the world and from all walks of life. He is a master at cross-cultural, holistic communication, and I could not be more confident that this will help him to excel at practicing dentistry here in North America.
For over a year now, XXXX has come faithfully to our clinic on XXXX Street every Monday, Thursday, and Friday, giving his all from 7:30 am to 4 pm as a volunteer. After a full year, I offered him a professional position as a dental assistant, beginning in February 2020, which he accepted. Sandy is an accomplished team player who supports everyone in the office, is highly organized and self-motivated; he could not be more passionate and enthusiastic about dentistry. A quick learner with advanced clinical skills, he has an incredibly advanced understanding of the biology of the mouth and oral cavity. I am confident XXXX will prove to be an asset to your program. I see enormous potential in him when we review treatment plans together. He is impressive and will go far in dentistry due to his profound dedication and focus. I could not recommend him more highly. It would be a pleasure to provide you with further information about XXXX.
Sincerely,
Letter of Recommendation Mentor to Dental Assistant
